The Institution of Safety Engineers (India) successfully organized the ISEI Excellence Award 2024 on November 9, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at Hotel Babylon International, Raipur. This prestigious award recognizes individuals, organizations, and institutions that have demonstrated exemplary contributions and excellence in the fields of Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH).
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. K. K. Dwivedi, Director & In-Charge, Industrial Health & Safety, Government of Chhattisgarh, who served as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Mr. Santram Netam, Member, Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission; Mr. Rajju Kumar, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Government of Chhattisgarh; Mr. Ashwani Kumar Patel, Assistant Director, Industrial Health & Safety, Government of Chhattisgarh; and Ms. Anima S Kujur, Divisional Commandant, Fire & Emergency Services, SDRF, Raipur.
The event was led by Dr. S. Rampuri, Chairman of the Institution, along with Directors Tamanna Afroz, Madhuri Chaturvedi, and Mohd. Tausif, among many other notable guests.
The Institution of Safety Engineers (India) is a non-profit organization, formerly operated under the ZJEW Trust, and now registered with the Government of India. The organization is committed to preventing accidents, protecting the environment, and minimizing disaster-related risks. It also provides free employment-oriented training to underprivileged and economically weaker students while actively working for social development across various regions of India, especially in Chhattisgarh.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by the chief guest and senior officials. Dr. S. Rampuri shared the Institution’s impactful work over the years in preventing workplace accidents and promoting environmental sustainability. Eminent professionals from various sectors across the country also shared valuable insights on safety, health, and environmental challenges and solutions.
Prominent companies such as Vedanta, Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd., RNSNS Seriate Pvt. Ltd., L&T Ltd., Transrail Lighting Ltd., Vishwaraj Environment Pvt. Ltd., Thermo Systems Pvt. Ltd., Unison Enviro Pvt. Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Jayaswal Neco Industries Ltd., Engineers India Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd., Dalmia Bharat Cement, SISCO Ltd., and others actively participated in the event.
The ISEI Excellence Awards were presented to recognize their valuable contributions in accident prevention, ensuring a safe work environment, and disaster risk management. In addition, Safe Bhav Foundation, Hope Givers Trust, Traffic Police, and Sanitation Workers were honored for their outstanding services to the community.
Distinguished professionals and NGOs from across the country were honored with the ISEI Excellence Award for their significant contributions in the fields of Safety, Health, and Environment.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks and heartfelt appreciation to all participants and contributors.
