ISEI Excellence Award 2023

On the occasion of its 11th anniversary, the ISEI Excellence Award Ceremony was organized on 23rd December 2023, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Babylon International Hotel, Raipur. The theme of the celebration was “Work Safely and Save Nature.” As part of this theme, several awareness programs were conducted across communities and industries with the goal of promoting safety awareness among the general public and industrial workers, aiming to prevent accidents and protect the environment.

The Institution of Safety Engineers (India) is a non-profit organization that was formerly operated under the Z.J.E.W. Trust and is now officially registered with the Government of India. The institution is dedicated to accident prevention, environmental protection, and disaster risk reduction. Additionally, it actively provides free job-oriented training to underprivileged and needy students, contributing to social development through various initiatives. The organization has been working for several years across different parts of the country, especially in the state of Chhattisgarh.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Rajju Kumar, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Government of Chhattisgarh; Mr. Ashwani Kumar Patel, Assistant Director, Directorate of Industrial Health and Safety, Government of Chhattisgarh; Dr. S.K. Haldar, Former Deputy Director General, DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour, Government of India; and Dr. Anand Verma, among others. The institution’s leadership, including Chairman Dr. S. Rampuri, Director Dr. M.S. Nawaz, Tamanna Afroz, Nidhi Dubey, and other senior officials, were also present.

The program commenced with a Safety Oath. Participants were welcomed with Chhattisgarh’s traditional dance and folk music, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage.

In his address, Chairman Dr. S. Rampuri shared the impactful work the institution has undertaken over the years in the areas of accident prevention and environmental protection. The event also featured expert speakers who delivered concise lectures on key topics related to safety, health, and the environment.

Several employees of the Government of Chhattisgarh were honored with the ISEI Excellence Award for their outstanding contributions to road safety, traffic management, and occupational health and safety. Reputed companies and institutions from across India, including Danfoss, CapitaLand, Baikunth Cement Works (a unit of UltraTech Cement Ltd.), Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd. (BALCO), Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., Shree Cement Ltd. (Power Plant Division), Bridge & Roof Co. (India) Ltd., Boss India Ltd., Ciscol, Godrej, Insolare Energy Pvt. Ltd., KEIL, Ranson Seriate Pvt. Ltd., and Balco Medical Centre, participated and were awarded for their remarkable contributions in the field of Safety, Health, and Environment.

In addition, individual professionals and NGOs from various parts of the country were also recognized with the ISEI Excellence Award for their significant impact and service in the areas of Safety, Health, and Environmental protection.
